The Microsoft 365 Cloud, to be exact! Minuteman is very excited to announce a recent upgrade in our computing technology. We have shifted our inside communications at our corporate office from Microsoft Office to Microsoft Office 365. The Cloud aspect of this program integrates Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Exchange, Sharepoint, and Lync to promote more effective and efficient in-office sharing and communicating for a more productive work environment.

The best features of the Cloud and the main reasons for Minuteman’s switch to this technology are:

• A new Instant Messaging system which allows us to chat back and forth and get answers to quick and easy questions
• Faster computing
• Smoother operations
• A more tech savvy staff

Minuteman is extremely excited to announce the start of our services at The Frank luxury residences in Venice, CA. The Frank’s official grand opening is on April 9th and Minuteman will be providing parking services for The Frank residents seven days a week. We are thrilled to be partnered with such an up and coming establishment and we are honored to play a part in their vision.

Minuteman is starting the New Year off right with our first hospital in 2012! Meet the newest addition- California Hospital Medical Center. California Hospital is our first medical center in Downtown LA. This hospital is a member of Dignity Health, formerly known as Catholic Hospital West (CHW), and has been providing medical care to to Southern California residents since 1887. Their list of medical services includes but is not limited to: cancer care, orthopedics, surgical services, ICU, emergency and trauma services, and maternity care. California Hospital is also a proud participant of multiple community organizations and health awareness courses.

Minuteman Parking will be taking care of California Hospital Monday-Friday, while they are taking care of their patients. We look forward to working with the hospital and improving patient flow!

At Minuteman, we love everything green- especially living green and being environmentally friendly! We care greatly about our environment and do our best to practice sustainability and awareness. Our greatest contribution to the planet is our natural gas shuttles and electric company cars.

Minuteman Parking has multiple shuttles and a collection of corporate vehicles that run purely on compressed natural gas (CNG). This is a fossil fuel substitute for gasoline, diesel, and propane and is a more environmentally clean alternative. CNG is much safer than gas in the event of a spill because natural gas is lighter than air so it disperses quickly when it’s released. CNG does not increase the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere, and can be used in traditional gasoline engines that have been converted to bi-fuel.

We also have several carts at our properties that are global electric motorcars (GEM). Our little GEMs are low speed vehicles that are battery electric. They are plugged into outlets for recharging and are completely petrol free.

Although these are minor steps in the big picture, every little bit counts! It is our New Year’s Resolution this year to do more on our part to help save the environment. Here’s to going green in 2012!

This past sunny Sunday afternoon, Minuteman had the pleasure of attending the 2012 Bridal Showcase at the historic Queen Mary in beautiful Long Beach, California. This well-known event is one of the most popular bridal shows in the country and hosted almost 3,000 brides-to-be. The expo held hundreds of local vendors, but Minuteman was proud to be the only participating transportation exhibit offering valet, party bus, and shuttle services for weddings. The showcase included a fashion show featuring gorgeous wedding gowns and tuxedos, wedding cake tastings, photo booths, complimentary drinks, and much more!

Minuteman will also be attending the Knott’s Berry Farm Bridal Expo in February at their Resort Hotel. If you missed us at the Queen Mary, come be one of thousands to visit us on Sunday February 19th. The Regatta has decided to join Minuteman’s ever-growing list of luxury high-rise condo clients. This 20-story tower boasts over 200 high-end condominium units with beautiful ocean, city, and mountain views. Located on the Santa Monica Bay, residents enjoy an exuberant lifestyle with amenities that include an Olympic-sized heated pool, landscaped sun decks, a full-sized health and fitness center, and a business/conference center.

Minuteman will be providing valet services for Regatta residents 7 days a week. This is the fourth Minuteman property in the Marina del Rey area, and we are excited to continue this growth.
